Why subscribe to Curiosity & Encounter?

Curiosity & Encounter is born from the turmoil we face in our world today. We are broken as a planet, as a peoples, and, in some cases, as individuals. I have asked myself the question, "How can we heal ourselves - is that even possible?" Yes, I believe it is. But, what will it take? In a world where we see natural disasters, starvation, greed, politics of oppression, war, and any other headline that grabs us, what will it take for us to encounter one another again as part of the beauty of creation? We have to be curious. We have to ask questions, listen, absorb, reflect, and speak from a place of wanting to connect. There are some who are not ready for that. They do not want to encounter the “other” and they don’t care to be curious about the world. I am not going to say, “And, that is ok.” Rather, I say, then let the rest of us take up the charge of moving this earth to a place of joy, right relationship, and care. We are beyond capable. So, let’s talk about it.

Writing is my medicine - life on long term disability offers ample time for reflection. Keeping myself engaged by clicking a on keyboards and reading the work of others. Best atmosphere: With my velcro dog, coffee in hand & tennis in the background.
